Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Michael Perna is responsible for leading the corporate and market strategy and innovation activities for the Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses, including acting as the CEB interface to Con Edison, Inc.’s Strategic Planning process. Previously, Michael was Vice President – Marketing and Business Development for the Clean Energy Businesses and served in a similar position at Con Edison Solutions prior to the formation of the Clean Energy Businesses holding company.
Prior to joining Con Edison Solutions, Michael was a principal at Energized Strategies II, LLC, a management consulting firm providing market strategy, business valuation, and project management consulting for clients in power generation and energy services. Earlier in his career, Michael spent nearly 15 years at Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG). There he held positions of increasing responsibility in a variety of functional areas including engineering, construction, operations, sales, marketing, and new product development.
In 1993, Michael was awarded an Industrial Program Fellowship in Client Systems at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) in Washington, DC. Other professional recognition includes the PSEG Corporate Excellence Award, which he received in 1994 and again in 1997. He has served on the Board of Directors for the National Energy Education Development Program and the National Association of Energy Service Companies.
Mr. Perna holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honors from Stevens Institute of Technology.
