President and CEO
Mark Noyes is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses that include Con Edison Development, Con Edison Energy and Con Edison Solutions. Responsible for the overall profitability of these businesses, Mark structured the companies to meet the renewable energy strategy developed by parent company, Consolidated Edison, Inc., which included exiting the Retail Commodities business and developing a robust Energy Services group that today operates profitability and with an extensive backlog of contracts.
Prior to his role as President and CEO, Mark was President of Con Edison Development and Con Edison Energy. In this role, he developed the Utility Scale portfolio of the company from the ground up, rapidly becoming the 2nd largest owner/operator of PV renewable energy assets nationwide.
Previously, Mr. Noyes was Principal and Managing Partner for B4U Services, a firm providing consulting services to clients in the energy sector with a focus on power quality, technology development, acquisitions, renewable energy, strategic development, energy efficiency and revenue growth via business development.
Prior to establishing B4U Services in 2006, he was the President and CEO of WebGen Systems, an enterprise energy-management company providing complete energy services to commercial and industrial clients. These services included distributed generation, renewable energy, energy efficiency, demand response, energy purchasing and “green” building/LEEDS certification. At WebGen, Mr. Noyes gained comprehensive experience in all phases of new business development, including profit and loss responsibility, operations management, technology development, finance, strategic planning, marketing, and sales.
Before WebGen, Mr. Noyes spent more than 15 years with Con Edison, gaining experience in all aspects of the power sector on both the regulated and competitive energy side. He served as Vice President of Asset Management and Acquisition for Con Edison Development. His responsibilities included asset acquisition, profit and loss responsibility, asset management, brownfield/greenfield development, strategic planning, operations and environmental compliance of 1,700 MW of generation.
Mr. Noyes holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering; and is a Certified Energy Manager and Certified Sustainable Development Professional with the Association of Energy Engineers. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Web Gen and was listed by Crain’s New York Business as one of the “Top 40 under 40,“ an honor given to those who are recognized as “rising stars“ in their industries.
