Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

James J. Dixon is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses (CEBs) and its subsidiaries located in Valhalla, New York.  Con Edison Clean Energy Businesses, Inc., through its three main subsidiaries, develops, owns and operates renewable and energy infrastructure assets and provides energy-related products and services to wholesale and retail customers.

Mr. Dixon began his Con Edison career in 1982 at the Consolidated Edison Company of New York (CECONY) as a Management Intern electrical engineer, working in various managerial and technical positions while pursuing his law degree.  Upon graduation he joined the CECONY Law Department as an attorney in its Nuclear Regulatory and Commercial Litigation sections.  He also served as legal counsel for Con Edison Solutions and as Assistant Corporate Secretary for CECONY.

In January 2004, he joined Con Edison Solutions as its first General Counsel.  After three years in that position, he was named the Vice President of Energy Services, and in 2011, became Vice President, Legal and Compliance Services for Con Edison Development and Con Edison Energy.

Mr. Dixon graduated from Manhattan College in 1982 with a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree and is a registered New York professional engineer.  In 1990, he received his juris doctorate from New York Law School and is admitted to practice in New York and Washington D.C.  His involvement outside of Con Edison includes military service in the United States Army Reserve from which he retired as a Major and as the past chairman of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Energy Committee and the National Association of Energy Services Companies (NAESCO).

Mr. Dixon is also very active in his local community, having served as President of the Ardsley Little League and co-founder of a local CYO basketball program.  His community service was recognized with the Ardsley PTA 2009 Jenkins Award.
