ConEdison Solutions Achieves High Customer Service Score In Connecticut

RANKED NUMBER ONE AMONG LARGER ELECTRICITY SUPPLIERS AND AGGREGATORS
VALHALLA, NY – June 23, 2011: ConEdison Solutions, one of America’s leading energy service providers, had the best customer interaction rating among energy suppliers and aggregators serving more than 15,000 customers in Connecticut, according to rankings recently announced by the state’s Department of Public Utility Control. The company’s rating appeared in the 2010 Consumer Scorecard released by the Department’s Customer Services Unit.
ConEdison Solutions earned the score in its category of electric suppliers and aggregators, with only three complaints out of a customer base comprising more than 18,000 clients.

The Consumer Scorecard compares the number of complaints made regarding billing, general concerns, payment arrangements, quality of service, solicitations, slamming and terminations. It is based on an index number that shows the number of complaints per 100,000 customers, which enables a comparison of both large and small companies.
Mr. Mueller attributes the company’s ranking to its dedicated customer service professionals. In addition, ConEdison Solutions’ efficient internal processes ensure timely invoicing, while the company’s quality control standards result in accurate billing.

The Consumer Scorecard ranked 63 companies: three gas companies, two electric companies, seven telecommunications companies, 24 video cable franchises, six water companies and 21 electric suppliers and aggregators.
