Countries and Corporations Form Agreement to Preserve Environmental Resources

In April, 170 countries and 110 major corporations came together to sign an agreement signifying their joint commitment to becoming more energy-efficient.  The United Nations, in conjunction with major companies such as DuPont and Johnson & Johnson, met to discuss the impact of climate policies such as the EPA’s Clean Power Plan.  The agreement was well-received, and even promoted by some of the world’s top investors.

This meeting represents a pivotal moment in history because it demonstrates the intricate relationship between energy efficiency and big business.  Indeed, energy efficiency directly impacts business supply chains and climate change also affects the economy, thereby impacting investments.  Read the full story.
