Massachusetts Launches $10M Storage Initiative

Aiming to become a national leader in energy storage, Massachusetts has unveiled a $10 million initiative to examine what it will take to achieve that goal. The state Department of Energy Resources will partner with the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center and energy market participants to develop innovative programs and establish a mature local market.  One plan is to develop policy options encouraging storage deployment under the Energy Storage Initiative.

Politicians say the creation of storage options will benefit Massachusetts energy consumers and the local economy.
