Hoosier solar

Indiana is coming on strong in solar power.

The Environmental America Research & Policy Center, an environmental advocacy group, says that the Hoosier State had the nation’s 11th-largest expansion of solar power production last year.  Indiana generated less than 1 MW of solar power in 2012 but expanded to 54 MW in 2013. (1MW = 1 million watts of power)

Helping create the jump was a 12 MW solar farm at Indianapolis International Airport that went online last year.
