Rooftop solar is looking up

SolarAccording to a study by McGraw Hill Construction and the National Association of Homebuilders, more than 50 percent of all U.S. homebuilders could offer rooftop solar as a standard feature for single-family homes within two years.The study cites several factors: construction trends, a drop in installation prices, and increasing consumer knowledge about energy efficiency and climate change.

Another interesting fact: while most rooftop solar homes are concentrated in sunny states (think Arizona and California), there’s also a successful solar market in New Jersey.
