Capturing More Rays For Energy

The most efficient standard solar cells today convert about 22 percent of sunlight energy into electricity.  MIT scientists are hoping to improve this to as much as 80% by capturing wavelengths of light that currently "go to waste" by adding a layer of carbon nanotubes.  See how the new cells will work.
