Should Solar Panels Face West for Better Performance?

According to a new study conducted in Austin, Texas by Pecan Street Research, solar panels may gain some benefit from facing west rather than south.  The analysis of 50 homes showed that west-facing roof-top panels produced 49 percent more electricity during times of peak demand compared to south-facing panels.  They also produced slightly more electricity in general.  Learn more about the study and the focus of the next level of research.
