What used to be a contaminated brownfield site next to the high school in New Bedford, Mass. is now becoming a two-acre solar farm. Students will not only benefit from the cleaned up site, but they will also get first-hand opportunities to study solar science through an interactive digital kiosk and other tools. With their goal to ultimately get 60 percent of their power from solar, the city expects to save nearly $20 million over the next twenty years. Could this mean good news ahead for city school budgets too? ConEdison Solutions is one of the project's partners. Learn more about the New Bedford solar solution.
