Do Companies with a Conscience Matter?

According to a recent global study, consumers indicate that they expect the companies they deal with to be socially responsible.  This means that if the companies are not actively pursuing solutions to the globe's pressing problems they run the risk of not only losing their reputations but also their customers.  And global citizens are not voting just with their wallets -- they share opinions about companies through social media outlets, increasing the importance of doing "good" business more than ever.
