WHITE PLAINS, NY, December 20, 2002 - ConEdison Solutions, one of the leading energy service providers in the northeastern United States, helped brighten the holidays for seven New York families this year by once again participating in the U.S. Postal Service's annual charity program "Operation Santa Claus."  The program, launched more than 70 years ago, is designed to assist underprivileged families by making their letters to Santa available to members of the public who can fulfill those holiday requests.

ConEdison Solutions' employees purchased and assembled a truck full of gifts that included clothing, toys, electronic equipment, and gift checks.   Solutions complemented the employees' efforts by covering the cost of postage to get the packages delivered to the seven families.

 

The company selected the letters - written by families in Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan - from the U.S. Postal Service's collection of "Dear Santa" Letters, and each department at ConEdison Solutions set out to fulfill every holiday wish.
