Demand Response Services offer customers the opportunity to participate in Independent System Operator (ISO)/Retail Transmission Organization (RTO) sponsored programs and earn money by committing to reduce load at times of electricity grid emergencies or high prices – typically in the summer months. Participants are paid a capacity payment on the basis of their commitment. The ConEdison Solutions team is experienced at navigating the requirements of each ISO/RTO including NYISO, ISO-NE, PJM and ERCOT.
ConEdison Solutions manages the entire process for you from start to finish. We evaluate your facility and work with you to establish your level of energy reduction commitment. We notify you of a demand response event, and schedule, monitor, and verify your participation.
Implementation Process
1. Preliminary Assessment
We estimate the level of revenue and energy savings you can expect to earn.
2. Site Audit
We perform a site walk-through and energy systems analysis to further refine the economic opportunity available to your business.
3. Proposal
We present site audit results,contract terms and conditions, available resources and savings potential.
4. Project Plan
We suggest potential system modifications for participation, establish system installation requirements, and ongoing interface and operating processes.
5. Service Rollout
Communications are established between VPowerTM and your systems. Systems are tested and commissioned.
6. ISO/RTO Enrollment
We prepare application to the ISO/RTO on your behalf and commit to resource contribution.
7. Operations
We notify you of on-going ISO/RTO events and economic opportunities. You establish and confirm your commitment level.
8. Reporting & Payment
ConEdison Solutions provides you with a monthly report that includes a statement of your activity and revenue.
