ConEdison Solutions is supplying electricity to the Montgomery Community Energy Aggregation (MCEA), an aggregation of residential customers in the Township of Montgomery, New Jersey.
The MCEA program has been structured to provide residential customers (rate classes RS and RLM) with savings on their energy supply purchases.
Eligible residential customers are automatically enrolled in the program, but have the ability to opt out by submitting a request to the Township. Eligible customers are those who do not have a contract with a third-party electricity supplier.
The term of the aggregation is December 2013 - December 2015. Under the aggregation, the offered price is approximately 10% below the average current rate from PSE&G, the Township’s electric utility. Customers may also choose budget billing.>
Over the 24-month period, the typical Township resident will realize cost savings of approximately $110 by joining the municipal aggregation.
