Energy Savings Performance Contracting (ESPC) is a self-funding
contracting program that enables clients to improve energy-efficiency
without capital outlay. ESPC projects lower energy consumption, and
energy costs, enhance facility infrastructure, operation and maintenance
practices, and reduce environmental impact. Projects may include a
variety of energy efficiency measures including: installing new boilers
or chillers, upgrading lighting, HVAC controls, window sealing or
replacement, and water conservation.
ConEdison Solutions will design, develop, manage, and provide ongoing
services to help maintain your energy improvements, offering an
easy-to-manage turn-key solution. We guarantee our customer’s annual
energy savings will be equal to or greater than the overall cost to
finance the project.
The ESPC Process
- Preliminary Energy Audit
We’ll identify and evaluate energy and water conservation opportunities for energy performance improvement. Preliminary baseline consumption, savings and installation costs will be estimated in order to evaluate potential energy and environmental impacts.
- Investment Grade Audit (IGA)
A final scope of work and guaranteed savings amount—used to cover all implementation and financing costs related to implementing energy and water conservation opportunities, will be developed during the IGA. A list of available federal, state, or utility energy incentives or rebates will be finalized.
- Project Implementation
ConEdison Solutions will provide all construction management services and ensure design intent meets constructability. We are committed to having a portion of the work to be performed by HUB Certified/ Minority Businesses.
- On-going Services
ConEdison Solutions’ will use a rigorous process to verify system performance and energy savings during and after project completion, and to assure savings and equipment performances are maintained over time. We use four interactive components within our ongoing services: commissioning, training, operation and maintenance oversight, and measurement and verification. We’ll deliver annual measurement and verification reports detailing cumulative energy and cost savings of the installed improvements.
