In an effort to reduce municipal electricity spending, the City of New Bedford hired ConEdison Solutions to install 55 kW of solar capacity at the Department of Public Infrastructure (DPI). This modest investment is expected to save more than $100,000 over the next 20 years. And these solar panels will also help to offset the DPI’s CO2 emissions by nearly 100,000 pounds annually.
