Established in 2007, the Cape & Vineyard Electric Cooperative helps municipal bodies throughout Barnstable County, MA save money on their monthly utility bills. When the Coop commissioned ConEdison Solutions to install 143 kW of solar capacity on its Bourne Middle School, it used a 15-year power purchase agreement to finance this installation. The school is already saving an average of $17,000 a year, and it has offset its CO2 emissions by more than 250,000 pounds annually.
